Alfie Templeman took to the Academy 2 stage in Manchester for the second night of his 19 date UK tour, and he walked on to the stage as cool as a cucumber!

After singing a couple of songs from his massive catalogue, he stated to the audience that he can’t believe how many people turned up to the show. 4 songs in Alfie tells the crowd that it’s time to play something really weird, this one’s called Beckham, he points to a young guy in the audience holding up a sign and said "this one’s for you mate."

A few songs later, Alfie tells the audience that it’s time to get funky again, the crowd screamed and Alfie said this one’s called Hello Lonely. Alfie continuously thanked the crowd after almost every song; it’s clear how grateful he is for the audience for coming to the show.

During the song Just a Dance, before the last chorus, the music went quiet for a second and Alfie screamed. The crowd joined in screaming back to him and the music kicked straight back in for a big last chorus. The next song, Alfie states that this one goes back and that it is an old track, he said it’s called Things I Thought Were Mine, the crowd immediately screamed and danced along with the music being played throughout the venue.

It was clear to see throughout the show that Alfie and the band were having a great time playing this show. Alfie even stated that the crowd were incredible, and he couldn’t remember the last time they played a show like this.

It was clear that Alfie loves to bounce off the energy of the audience. He showed this by playing something fun like the Windows theme on his guitar. He then started to play Vultures, before exclaiming "wait I can't read, this is Wait I Lied!"

As it was coming to the end of the show, Alfie introduced all of his band members and touring crew, he also raved about the support acts for the show thanking flat moon and Sofy, he also praised the crowd saying how great they were throughout the show and made a joke saying that he was in the music capital of the UK, so it made sense.

Overall, Alfie put together a show for his fans to enjoy every second of, including both new and old music material. It is clear that Alfie, even though being a touring artist for years, still is only continuing to get better. The show was curated for his fans and music lovers which is the perfect blend.
